Rochelle (Ro) Fainstein is a self-taught, intuitive artist who has lived and created in CT, NYC, TX, and NC. She travels often for inspiration.

Ro picked painting back up as an adult as a form of therapy to work through trauma. Today, her works span different media and include the celebration of quirky, extreme and joyful memories, as well as moments that are more trying.

Ro loves the sensorial aspect of artworks and encourages owners to run their hands across her more textural works, at least once, as they represent the ripples and scars of time and memory.

She has exhibited and sold works in NYC, Austin, Pittsburgh, and throughout NC.

Banditka, for which her site and online presence is named, is a nickname her parents gave Ro growing up – a variation of bandit -- for her playful and lawless spirit that comes through in her works and personality.

For art purchased online and being shipped, the buyer has 14 days to return after an item is delivered for a refund. Buyer pays for shipping both ways. For art purchased in person under $2,000, the sale is final. If art purchased in person is $2,000 or over, buyer has 14 days to return after purchase for a full refund if it doesn’t fit their home decor. The product must be in the same condition it was purchased in or return policy is voided. You can request a return by contacting alex@capefearliving.com. Return will be processed and refund issued within 14 business days after receiving artwork.

Please allow up to 7 business days for your order to arrive after purchase. Shipping costs vary depending on size of artwork, package insurance and buyer address. Order tracking will be available after purchase. No international shipping available.

If you requested to see a product in person, please allow 2 business days after request for the artist to bring the product to theArtWorks (200 Willard St, Wilmington, NC 28401) for your viewing. You may see the product in person during their business hours (Wednesday-Saturday 11am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm).

To ensure a seamless process, we recommend that you call theArtWorks at 910-352-1822 to confirm the product is available for your viewing. Product will be held for 14 business days after request is made.
