the motivation: passion and curiosity
the inspiration: life
the goal: portraits of impressions, emotions, interpretations, life and passion
painting for me is sometimes swinging the brush like a hammer
or coaxing ideas, impressions, emotions and remnants of memories
from the canvas.
it's demanding, stressful and exhausting but necessary to give my thoughts purpose
and visual existence.

starting in 1966 studying art in various institutions of higher learning, east and west coast plus graphic design in chicago, il
from 1985 to 2012 I was graphic design studio in basel switzerland
2007-2012 was the owner/curator of blackwall gallery, basel switzerland
