Annette Buckner Hall's Biography

Annette Buckner Hall Biography

Annette Buckner Hall is a visual artist based in Raleigh and North Topsail Beach, North Carolina. With a BA in Environmental Design in Architecture and a Minor in Graphic Design from NC State’s College of Design, she approaches her work with a deep sensitivity to space, rhythm, and structure—where intuition and design converge.

Her abstract paintings explore the balance between structure and spontaneity, geometry and gesture. Each piece is layered and process-driven, shaped through editing, discovery, and trust. Architectural forms mingle with organic marks, softened by texture and grounded in color. What emerges is a dialogue between control and surrender, between the seen and the felt.

Annette has exhibited for over a decade at 311 Gallery in Raleigh and currently shows with Fine Art Local in Wilmington. Her work has been featured in juried exhibitions including VAE’s Scope and Multiples, the Menagerie Show at Contemporary Art Exchange, and Best in Show at the Fine Arts League of Cary.

Her paintings are held in private collections in Atlanta, Raleigh, New York, and California.
